Urgent appointments are triaged by telephone, a clinician will ask to see you face to face if required. Please do not be offended if the reception team ask the nature of your concern, this is to ensure you are seen by the appropriate clinician.

Home visits

All of our GPs are available to do home visits. These visits are reserved for patients who are too ill or infirm to attend the surgery for an appointment. Home visits are requested by ringing the surgery.

We encourage our patients to ring before lunchtime to request a home visit, where possible, so that we can allocate the appropriate GP to each visit. After lunch we have only one GP on call for urgent home visits.

After you have made a request for a home visit you may receive a phone call from a GP in order to clarify details of your problem and decide on how urgently you need to be seen.
