Repeat Prescriptions

All of our repeat prescriptions are on the computer and all patients who are on long term treatment will have a copy of these attached as a tear off slip when they collect their prescriptions. A review date is also printed on the slip to remind you when your doctor needs to review your medication.

Please do not ask the doctor for a repeat prescription during an ordinary consultation if your medication review is not due yet.

There are several ways to get your repeat prescription:

• The NHS App
• Internal Prescription Box - an internal prescription box for posting your tear off slip is situated near the entrance. You can use this service anytime between 8.00am and 5.45pm each weekday (Monday to Friday). 

Please allow 72 hours between ordering and collecting your prescription.

Dispensary

We are no longer a dispensing practice.

The current prescription charge is £9.65 per item.

A prescription prepayment certificate (PPC) could save you money on NHS prescription costs:

• a 3-month PPC costs £31.25

• a 12-month PPC is £111.60

• a 12-month PPC for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) only is £19.30
